在河边偶遇一只停在树上的夜鹭，离得较近，很清晰地看到了它的红眼睛。与其对视良久，对方眼神警觉，但也只是略微移动了鸟身，并未飞走。眼神中似乎还有些愠怒，可能是因我拍照未经其允许，侵犯了肖像权。
夜鹭脑后有条白色的“辫子”，看起来像是一位前清遗老。
上海地区的夜鹭数量很多，常在黄浦江边、市内河道边能够看到。
The red eyes and white “braid” of the night heron
I had a chance encounter with a night heron perched on a tree by the river. We were quite close, and I could clearly see its red eyes. We stared at each other for a long time; its gaze was cautious, but it only slightly shifted its body without flying away. There was a hint of irritation in its eyes, perhaps because I took a photo without its permission, infringing upon its “portrait rights.”
The night heron has a white “braid” hanging from the back of its head, resembling an old man from Qing dynasty.
Night herons are abundant in the Shanghai area and can often be seen along the Huangpu River and city waterways.
